I arrived in Alaska in December of 2013, 1 week after the winter solstice, on the Alaska State Ferry. It was dark and rainy evening. The sun slowly returned and with the light, a new beginning.

Call to Artists
"Lorrie Bortner, mural artist, is seeking *artistic high school age youth or recent graduates* for a BIG Taos mural project (approved by the mayor). Designing is happening NOW in January. The dream to have a Summer Public Art Work Program for youth every summer."
