I arrived in Alaska in December of 2013, 1 week after the winter solstice, on the Alaska State Ferry. It was dark and rainy evening. The sun slowly returned and with the light, a new beginning.

Art of the Flower Workshops- 10AM-4PM- M-F Sally Russell teaches drawing, painting the art of painting flowers in her bold style, using any medium, oil, acrylic and watercolor. She will teach the art of mixing color, using only 6 basic colors to get all the hues needed in nature. This fall we will paint on the patio from the gorgeous Gallery gardens. Sally will give you her secrets for Art Marketing Success. $375.00 per person for the week. Contact:

Sally Russell features new work from the summer – fabulous pinks, burgundies and flames of the garden. Backed by the deep blues, violets and contrasting greens of the sky and foliage, these larger than life floras fill the room with their essence. She works in Oil, Watercolor and Monoprints. Sally suggests brightening up the walls inside or outside under portals and on garden walls with color to continue the hot summer into cool, cool winter.
